Reality Wellness Group will arrange wellness days where employees can have the following health screening tests: blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose levels, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, HIV including pre- and post-test counselling. A full report detailing the overall health status and interventions of employees is shared with the employer group which in turn assists with health, absenteeism and productivity management.
Employees unable to attend the onsite wellness days and their registered dependants can have the same health screenings at approved pharmacies (such as Clicks and Dischem).
The health screenings provide us with useful information we can use to better manage the healthcare requirements of our members. Early detection of an illness coupled with appropriate disease management can drastically improve the quality of life of an individual as well as minimise the consequential healthcare cost burden.
In 2019, we expanded our wellness programme by introducing pap smears for women aged 21 or older and vaccinations for influenza, tetanus, hepatitus A and B and pneumococcal.
In addition to the health screenings and vaccination programme, Reality Wellness Group also provides our members with unlimited telephonic counselling services. These services are available 24/7 by registered counsellors who follow specific procedures and clinical protocols. Services include: Critical incidence / trauma counselling, HIV counselling, Legal and Financial advice. Face to face counselling can also be arranged for the member’s own account.
